Two employees at Foster's South Pacific Distillery in Lautoka, Fiji died yesterday following serious injuries sustained while moving a mobile scaffold being used to clear overhead tree branches from the perimeter of the distillery property.
The two men, Isikeli Bari and Emori Koro, sustained fatal injuries when the scaffolding came into contact with overhead power lines. Foster's is co-operating fully with Fiji authorities and will also conduct its own internal investigation into this tragic incident.
Foster's deeply regrets the incident and the thoughts of all at Foster's are with Isikeli's and Emori's families, friends and colleagues at this time.
